FACILITIES OPERATIONS ENGINEER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop tools to analyze delivery, capacity, and cost challenges for facilities operations in order to guide decisions

  • Identify operational issues within the organization, determine root cause, and develop appropriate solutions

  • Develop and track key performance measures for operational measurement and improvement, using software tools such as Microsoft Excel, JIRA, and Power BI

  • Create reports and maintain regular reporting rhythms with leadership teams

  • Develop system and process improvements within and between facilities groups

  • Maintain accurate information and coordinate space planning decisions within and between campuses in Archibus

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in supply chain, engineering, operations, and accounting groups to synchronize efforts

  • Capture best practices, and manage organizational knowledge

  • Lead multiple concurrent projects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline

  • 2+ years of operations/process improvement experience or experience with Excel, SQL, Python, or R

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing, supply chain, or production environment

  • Proficiency with statistics, data analysis, data visualization, and cost benefit analysis

  • Experience with CAD software, Archibus, Power BI, and JIRA

  • Familiarity with inventory, production, and capacity planning (including MRP/ERP systems)

  • Experience with lean, six sigma, and other related production principles

  • Experience or education in management science and engineering, operations engineering, operations research, or industrial engineering

  • Experience as a contributor to multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written and communication skills

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed

  • Must be able to travel up to 15%
