ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
SpaceX is looking for an experienced and driven Administrative Assistant to support our Washington, DC office. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations and functioning of the DC site.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as the first point of contact for guests, clients, and vendors visiting SpaceX
Design and implement office policies by establishing standards and procedures, measuring results against standards, and making necessary adjustments
Perform company sensitive and complex administrative duties involving Excel, Word, and PowerPoint including typing letters, creating/updating spreadsheets, filing, and compiling presentations
Provide project management and maintain momentum on high-priority projects, including but not limited to, staffing, resource planning, onboarding new team members, space planning, and strategy development for efficiencies among teams
Liaise with building management and external vendors to address facilities issues
Maintain inventory of office supplies and equipment
Process daily mail, package retrieval/distribution, and outbound shipments
Plan and execute social events, team-building activities, and culture events throughout the year
Offer ad hoc IT support and troubleshooting
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
2+ years of experience working in an office setting
Experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree
2+ years of professional experience in an administrative role
5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office applications and project management software tools
Outstanding organization, communication, time management, and resource management skills
Initiative in resolving problems and an independent worker, with enthusiasm and an energetic approach to work
Demonstrated excellence thriving in a fast-paced environment and embracing change
Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and autonomously
Exhibit strong attention to detail, ability to adapt to daily schedules and routines, and a focus on efficiency without sacrificing quality
Active First Aid/CPR/AED certification
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
Ability and willingness to occasionally stand in a static position for extended periods
Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
