Job Description:
Responsible for dispatch of ground transportation teams, following flights during transport, and communication with referring and receiving physicians, nursing staff, 911 dispatch centers and EMS personnel. Must be able to multi-task while still able to demonstrate effective communication skills in stressful situations, portraying a calm manner with reasoned judgment. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Receiving all air and ground EMS radio transmission in-coming to Essentia and relaying medical information to hospital departments; directing authorities and other responders to the appropriate place on campus; monitoring video and intrusion systems; dispatching of internal patient transportation with Transporters and Lift Team; responding to Lifeline emergency calls; and entering data into database systems for information gathering and report generation.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
EMT-Basic, or equivalent, with current licensure in Minnesota or Wisconsin or ability to complete EMT-Basic and obtain licensure in Minnesota or Wisconsin within one year from date of hire.
