We also don't do PR like the other providers. We've built brands that are bold, creative and take chances. And, we're looking for our next seriously dedicated and inventive influencer to drive our narrative and PR strategy for T-Mobile.

What you'll do in your role.

As a Senior PR Specialist, Consumer & Customer Experience, you'll own and lead PR and communication efforts around T-Mobile's industry-leading customer benefits (Netflix on Us and other streaming services, Scam Shield, Travel, Team of Experts, T-Mobile Tuesdays and more) and killer promotions. You'll build campaigns, go deep as the subject matter expert; collaborate with marketing and internal partners; develop and implement brilliant PR strategies across earned, owned and paid channels; create materials; advise executives and leadership, and land coverage in broadcast, print and online outlets. You'll do PR, work with influencers and create opportunities. You'll lean into data and insights, drive news and stories, engage with our social teams and create programs that reach consumers.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter who can collaborate or work independently and will bring bold, break-through ideas. You'll develop sensible tailored media plans, dream up and sell in unique story concepts and attention-getting moments, develop and handle reporter relationships and tackle problems. And when we need you, you'll be willing to pinch hit on a wide variety of projects for the team and in lock-step with our agency resources.

The experience you'll bring.

  • 3-5 years' experience managing communications and media strategy at a PR/marketing agency or fast-paced corporate comms/PR team

  • Bachelor's degree in PR, Communications or a related field.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • In-depth knowledge of what makes news and how to manufacture coverage without hard news

  • Ability to partner across the company and with different teams

  • Understanding of social media's impact on media relations

  • Strong writing and editing skills

  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • Calm under pressure amid tight deadlines

  • Able to have some fun while kicking tail

  • Understanding of consumer technology and/or wireless industry

  • Proficient using MS Office suite of products

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. The CDC currently defines -fully vaccinated- as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson.
