Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic design professional at our Bellevue, Washington Support Center to design and support the delivery of MOD stores consistent with our overall brand image.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in the design of MOD stores under the supervision of a Sr. Design Manager

  • Assure that assigned responsibilities are completed on time.

  • Seek the best design solutions based on cost parameters influencing each project.

  • Collaborate with our entire team to assure a high standard of store design quality.

  • Communicate with consultants during their preparation of Construction Documents.

  • Support project permitting and bidding processes with design clarifications.

  • Assist with the review of submittals and with responses to contractor RFIs.

  • Contribute to programs and initiatives impacting future store development

  • Support the development of design standards, tools, and processes

  • Exhibit a team focused approach by contributing to the success of others.

  • Maintain focus and forward momentum in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Periodic domestic travel (up to 5%.)

  • Employee may perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree in Architecture or Interior Design

  • 3+ years of professional experience (1+ years in retail and/or restaurant design)

  • Strong design and presentation skills

  • Fundamental project management skills

  • Experience with finish selection and material sourcing

  • Basic knowledge of Building and Accessibility Codes

  • Familiarity with construction documents

  • Skilled using AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with jurisdictional review and approval processes

  • Skilled using Revit/BIM

Physical Requirements

Office work requires sitting at a desk for extended periods, typically operating a computer. Occasional movement throughout the workspace is required in order to attend meetings and to access office equipment and supplies. Employee may occasionally lift objects up to 10 pounds in weight.
