About the Role

At Athleta, our mission is to ignite a community of active, healthy, confident women and girls who empower each other to reach their limitless potential. AthletaWell - a new, digital-first community dedicated to helping women thrive as they navigate the many facets of womanhood and female wellbeing - was created to directly support this mission. The AthletaWell Community platform invites members to connect with vetted female wellbeing experts (aka -Guides-) and other members through shared experiences and learning. It's the brand's answer to our customers' desire for authentic connection and support when it comes to achieving wellbeing.

What You'll Do

We're looking for a seasoned leader with experience across Content, Community and Marketing to help take the AthletaWell community to the next level, and drive member engagement and loyalty through the next phase of growth.

  • Content & Programming

  • Lead the content programming strategy for AthletaWell, including the types of content offered both online and offline, topics and wellbeing territories covered, and how this content is brought to life digitally and through physical stores.

  • Oversee the Annual Content & Programming calendar as it relates to AthletaWell talent, ensuring alignment with Athleta seasonal initiatives and other key priorities.

  • Partner with internal creative and production teams to execute AthletaWell Guides & Coaches programming according to the overarching platform vision.

  • Partner with digital leaders across key channels (site, email, media) to determine how Guide & Coaches content gets broadcast and leveraged outside of AthletaWell in support of key objectives and KPIs

  • Marketing

  • AthletaWell Brand Building

  • Lead the development and evolutions of AthletaWell's positioning and brand equity within the market. This includes pinpointing AthletaWell's unique differentiators and offerings to position the platform as a leader in female wellbeing and wellness.

  • Own the relationship with any external agencies or partners who contribute to the concepting and development of the AthletaWell brand.

  • Be the point person for all PR and Media opportunities pertaining to AthletaWell.

  • Campaign Strategy & Performance

  • In close partnership with Brand Marketing, lead the strategy for AthletaWell's marketing - end to end - from creative concept to asset planning to execution ensuring brand initiatives are brought to life in a way that meets brand and business objectives as well as customer needs.

  • Oversee marketing and creative briefs. Coach the AthletaWell Marketing Manager on brief development and delivery to ensure briefs clearly communicate key objectives, insights, inspiration, and messaging hierarchy.

  • Direct and oversee the development and ongoing management of AthletaWell's annual marketing calendar. Attend internal, cross functional planning meetings (i.e., Commercial Planning) to communicate upcoming marketing needs, ensuring all teams are aligned.

Who You Are

  • Requirements:

  • Min 10+ years building and scaling talent-based programs (instructors, influencers, celebrities).

  • Successfully managed varying levels of talent, including top tier or on the rise influencers in the fitness and/or wellness spaces.

  • Strong track record of sourcing and nurturing talent, and well as negotiating term sheets and contracts

  • Experience partnering with creative and production teams to deliver digital content (i.e. video). Well versed in social and video platforms and how these are being used by consumers.

  • Successful team builder, with experience leading and scaling internal teams

  • Excellent interpersonal and people leadership

  • Big picture thinker with an eye toward delivering on Athleta and AthletaWell's mission and key business goals

  • Ability to understand the cross-functional implications of partnership decisions

  • Experience in developing market plans around key initiatives

  • A passion for the worlds of wellness and female well-being

  • Have successfully managed partnerships from sourcing to contract to execution

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results through coaching, innovation, and accountability

  • Quick learner and resourceful; able to prioritize effectively

  • Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills

  • Outstanding collaboration and project management skills, including demonstrated track record in managing complex projects across functional lines

  • High level of ownership, accountability, initiative, and drive

  • Proactive, with a very strong attention to detail, and a creative approach to problem-solving

  • Experience in budget planning and management

  • Excellent interpersonal and people leadership
