UX Designer Intern - T-Mobile

Job Description

The User Experience Designer designs innovative and engaging digital products. Responsible for performing user-centered design activities related to products and/or web applications. The role will work with product and development teams to understand their design requirements and develop creative solutions for meeting those needs.

You will partner with our T-Mobile For Business (B2B) product and design groups to understand their user requirements and develop creative customer-centric solutions for digital channels. Our UX organization acts as evangelists for design thinking, partnering with key leaders to demonstrate how design empowers the creation of better digital products, enterprise applications, design frameworks, visual libraries, and scalable interface assets.

The B2B team is looking for a motivated, passionate design intern to help in the design and creation of digital customer experiences for customers and employees. You'll learn about our design process from understanding customer needs and pain points to handing over approved user flows for buildout.

What you'll bring

  • Educational Position Requirements: Actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree in design, human factors, user research, or related field.

  • Experience building prototypes or user mockups using design software such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Preferred: A student or professional portfolio that demonstrates solving complex problems with user-friendly designs.

  • At least 18 years of age by April 30th, 2022

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must be actively enrolled in University/College course credits. GAP year students are ineligible.

  • External applicants eligible only. Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for UofMagenta Internships.

  • T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. The CDC currently defines -fully vaccinated- as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson.
