The Role:

Live Nation is looking for an exceptional Sr. Software Engineer who has experience in building highly scalable web applications. This is an entrepreneurial role on a small but growing team with the resources, exposure and customer base of the world's leading live entertainment company. The Ideal candidate would have experience driving application development from beginning to end and working cross-functionally to ensure product delivery and best practices.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Design and implement scalable distributed systems using AWS serverless technologies.

  • Contribute to entire development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment and documentation.

  • Participate in architectural discussions and present improvement recommendations.

  • Employ best software engineering practices and principals.

  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, helping peers and creating technical documentation

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience using Python

  • 3+ years of experience with designing and delivering RESTful APIs & Microservices.

  • 3+ years of experience building serverless applications on AWS using Lambda, API Gateway, AppSync, Kinesis, SQS, S3, RDS etc.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services

  • 2+ years of experience with container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes

  • Solid understanding and experience with object oriented and functional programming using Python.

  • Working knowledge of design patterns, algorithms, data structures.

  • Solid understanding of service oriented and microservice architecture.

  • Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.

  • Familiarity with software development methodology using Agile Scrum/Kanban etc.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • CS degree or equivalent working experience

  • AWS Developer Certification is a plus.

  • GraphQL experience is a plus.

  • Experience with Directus CMS or other content management systems is a plus

  • Experience with NodeJS is a plus
