The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an on-site Senior Systems Engineer to support our government customer at Ft. Belvoir, VA. The individual will work directly with the government customer and on-site CACI employees. The individual selected must be able to work on-site at the Ft. Belvoir, Virginia facility a minimum of three days a week and maintain a TS/SCI clearance. If individual does not have a TS/SCI at the time of hiring, they must possess one within 6 months of starting.
Responsibilities:
The individual must be able to assist with the design, development, integration, and testing of various technologies under development. These technologies include LADAR, hyperspectral, and multi-spectral sensors.
The individual will be responsible for supporting the government Project Lead by coordinating Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) or similar team meetings with the technical teams responsible for the various system components (mechanical, electrical, software, integration, and test, etc.) to ensure all sub-assemblies will be able to be integrated together to build a functional breadboard or prototype.
The individual must demonstrate an understanding of the development cycle and have experience designing and developing systems.
As the Senior Systems Engineer, the individual will work alongside government personnel to design, develop, integrate, and test breadboard and prototype sensors that meet the customer's requirements.
Individual must demonstrate a high aptitude for collaborating with a team, completing tasks on time, communicating with external customers and senior leaders.
There will be up to 20% of travel in this position (must be able to travel domestically and internationally).
Qualifications:
Required:
Active TS/SCI (or obtainable within 6 months of start date)
Master's degree or higher in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) related field.
Must have 10 years of experience with being a systems engineering or managing a team engineers.
5 years of leadership or management experience as a Team Lead, Project Lead, Program Manager, or other equivalent position.
Experience with LADAR and hyperspectral technologies is not required, but is preferred.
Experience conducting laboratory and field-testing and be knowledgeable of military systems.
Individual must be willing to work in the field under adverse conditions on military installations and test ranges.
