INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION - Data Science Intern

Contract Terms: Unpaid Internship (school credit only), 15-20 hours per week (Part-Time), Requires some evenings & weekends.
THE TEAM
As part of the Ticketmaster Resale team, you will enjoy the fast-paced and fun industries of live entertainment and high-traffic e-commerce in this summer internship.
THE JOB
Ticketmaster is in search of a highly motivated, organized and most importantly, enthusiastic individual who is interested in working within the heart of the live entertainment industry and being exposed to clients as varied as concerts, professional sports teams, university athletics, and performing arts.
WHAT YOU WILL BE LEARNING UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF TRAINED EMPLOYEES
-Assist in all aspects of resale performance management including analytics, ad hoc reporting, new opportunity identification, and strategic development.
-Analyze and proactively identifying major trends and assessing key business drivers; communicate results and implications to leadership
-Support cross-functional initiatives to drive actions as a result of business insights (the expectation is that you can not only analyze data, but also effectively communicate the underlying story and help see your recommendations through to execution)
-Monitor resale events, performance and market position; gather and synthesize competitive intelligence for the category
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES)
Enrolled in a BA/BS/BBA in Business, Finance, Economics, Applied Math, Statistics, Data Science or related.
Previous internships/related work experience a plus.
Experience with analytical tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, Access, or other big data software.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
R/ Python is a plus.
NOTE: Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and/or providing proof of a negative COVID test at least every 48 hours will be required for this position to work in an office or venue.
