Lead the response and proposal process in collaboration with sales teams to deliver the highest quality responses and proposals ahead of deadlines to win institutional and ultra-high-net-worth wealth clients. Directors must be able to create original content and produce highly customized documents based upon prospect research they conduct and sales team prospect intelligence. An in-depth understanding of the financial services industry and the ability to tailor documents to a specific prospect audience is a critical capability. RFP Directors support the delivery of the Truist Purpose Driven Wealth Experience as an integral part of the Strategic Client Group and utilize their skills and experience to help achieve Wealth strategic plan goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to gain a strong understanding of business resources and requirements and evaluate opportunities within our go/no go framework.
Lead the proposal and response process for institutional and ultra-high-net-worth wealth prospects facilitate deal team meetings, conduct prospect research, determine response timeline, identify and engage additional resources needed, and manage communication to producing the highest quality documents customized to each opportunity delivered ahead of deadlines.
Understand Truist brand voice and AP writing requirements and exceptions and use this knowledge to create new and update existing content and graphics as needed submitting per our policy and procedures for content approval.
Mentor new and junior team members
Support Truist integrated relationship management using a one-team approach by providing support to deal team leaders in bringing the appropriate Strategic Client Group and other Wealth and enterprise resources together to win business and execute on the Truist Purpose Driven Wealth Experience.
Adapt to varying workloads and work flexibly to meet tight deadlines.
Fully engage Client Proposal Team technology platform in document production to gain efficiency, support content compliance, and enable accurate reporting.
Adhere to Truist and Client Proposal Team policy and procedures completing all assigned learning plan items ahead of deadline and serving as a first line of defense in risk management.
Proactively engage with sales teams to provide follow up information, documentation and/or data needed to win the business.
Participate as a peer reviewer providing insight, commentary and edits to drive excellent document quality, promote idea sharing among the team, and support a collaborative team culture.
Build and maintain partnerships within the Client Proposal Team, Strategic Client Group, Truist Wealth and the Truist enterprise.
Stay abreast of industry trends and news. Share ideas and perspectives to continue to grow the team's success. Actively participate in strategic planning and policy and procedure review.
Participate in team ad hoc rotation coverage to respond to inquiries outside of the response and proposal process.
Participate in in-person meetings requiring one to two nights of travel at least quarterly including annual volunteer project. Additional opportunities for networking and business growth are available periodically.
While this position is fully remote, teammate connections are important to our continued growth and success; therefore, Directors are expected to network locally where geographically possible and participate in regional Truist activities when appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training/education.
Ten years financial services RFP and proposal creation experience.
Experience with nonprofit and/or ultra-high-net-worth responses and proposals.
Five years creating financial services industry content
Strong writing and editing skills.
Experience leading deal teams in a project and/or response environment with the ability to balance multiple priorities successfully adapting and engaging resources as needed to meet all interim and final deadlines.
Desire to work in and support a collaborative team that values diverse experiences and ideas and is adaptable to changing business needs.
Self-starter with the ability to independently manage workflow and meet deadlines.
Desire to create compelling documents tailored to each unique prospect and win business.
Ability to communicate effectively with varying levels of internal partners from diverse lines of business and support division strategic plan through partnership and engagement.
Ability to understand business and engagement models and participate in go/no go conversations with partners effectively.
Ability to quickly master internal systems and applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or advanced degree with a focus on writing, journalism, or related field.
10+ years of nonprofit RFP, public RFP and/or ultra-high-net-worth RFP experience.
10+-years of financial services industry RFP experience.
Knowledge of UPMIFA, ERISA, GIPS (CFA) regulations, Composite requirements, FINRA, and other investment-related marketing regulations
Leadership experience
Experience using RFPIO/Responsive
