POSITION SUMMARY

As an Installation and support Technician, you will work inside customers' facilities installing HIS Innovations Group products. You will work as part of a global team of technicians to install and commission our products as well as installing and performing application support for Inficon semiconductor products (where necessary) along with third party vacuum pumps & components onto our integrated system platform.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Align system components to ease commissioning and installation in customer facilities

  • Install third party components onto integrated system platforms

  • Supply backup installation support of Inficon equipment as needed, which includes sensors, FabGuard software

  • Resolve Communication & Network issues, Pump inverter issues

  • Troubleshoot and resolve signaling and facility distribution issues

  • Work in conjunction with customer service and engineering groups to coordinate install activities, service needs and equipment improvements requests from the tool modules

  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned

  • Unpack all shipments from HIS and confirm Packing List contents. Verify and doublecheck that all components needed for commissioning have arrived

  • Maintain a list of anything missing along with status. You will own this until the missing parts have arrived and are installed

  • Communicate daily with sales and engineering teams as needed, which includes attending required design meetings for customer equipment

  • Follow escalation path to ensure resolution during time sensitive equipment installation and commissioning

Required Experience:

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Associate's Degree (two-year college or technical school): Preferred (May substitute military or work experience)

Experience:

  • Experience with the installation of mechanical systems, electrical & networking components, installing components, reading layout drawings, and using lifting equipment to install components elevated ~4 feet (1.5 meters) off the ground

  • Experience with vacuum pumps, frames, clean room equipment, tools, and procedures

  • Working knowledge of gases, facilities, and cleanroom procedures

  • Engineering Technician Diploma/Certificate or High School diploma or equivalent required. Note: Associates degree desired (may substitute military or work experience)

  • One year of semiconductor experience highly preferred

Computer Skills:

Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel: Required

  • Able to climb up and down ladders and stairs, stand or sit for prolonged periods

  • Must be able to lift to 75 pounds / 34 KG at times
