Lead Launch Technician (Flight Hardware Logistics) - 2nd Shift at SpaceX

LEAD LAUNCH TECHNICIAN (FLIGHT HARDWARE LOGISTICS) - 2ND SHIFT
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for booster and associated GSE movement across Cape launch site
Responsible for proof loading all assets across multiple launch sites
Perform route surveys prior to scheduled flight hardware moves
Evaluate in-transit risks and provide on-site solutions to alleviate risk. Including: routing, repairs, escorts, and drivers - includes physical escorts across Launch sites
Work with engineering to develop the daily work flow using Microsoft OneNote and Confluence software
Assign technicians to specific jobs based on their ability and experience level for transports and maintenance
Make critical decisions on the fly in a fast-paced environment that allows for the most efficient use of time and resources
Look ahead and plan for upcoming operations and decide on the best course of action
Stage, set up, assemble, test and install flight and non-flight hardware
Use precision calibrated tools including torque wrenches, micrometers and calipers
Perform hands-on operations with small and large fragile assemblies and interpret blueprints
Perform work according to procedures, specifications and test instructions
Collaborate with launch engineers to develop and document activities
Troubleshoot equipment and hardware to determine root causes and propose possible solutions for engineering evaluation
Ensure launch services are performed on time, safely and in a professional manner
Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment
Evaluate in-transit risks and provide on-site solutions to alleviate risk. Including: routing, repairs, escorts, and drivers
Maintain responsibility for transport tech crew and lead operations
Organize, procure, and maintain tools needed to offload and pack up flight hardware
Pack and organize cross country shipping fixtures and associated hardware for return to respective shipping site
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
1+ years of prior leadership experience including leading teams, projects or people
1+ years experience with fleet operations and vehicle integration processes
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience operating CHANT Horizontal Proof test Machine
Knowledge of pressure, temperature and flow measurement devices or mechanical and electrical systems
Experience operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity
Experience reading and understanding technical drawings, manuals and reports
Ability to rapidly change roles and responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
Experience with forklifts, cranes and heavy equipment
Experience managing personnel and directing workflow
Ability to perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing
Associate's degree
Airframe & Powerplant or Aerospace Technology certification
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be available to work 2nd shift 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral
Willing to travel
Able to climb ladders and work in tight spaces
Willing to work all hours, and overtime, as required
Physical effort including standing, lifting and carrying moderately heavy materials or equipment (15 to 30 lbs.)
Able to work at elevated heights (up to 300 feet), including the use of ladder
Willing to operate heavy machinery
Typically exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments - heat, cold, rain, ice
Work performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
