Accounting Manager
Description
The Accounting Manager will manage the company's general accounting functions and ensures the accuracy of all related financial statements.
Plans and coordinates all activities of specific accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely recording of data. Areas include company disbursements, general liabilities, rent and miscellaneous other items.
Ensures the accurate and timely reporting of all related financial results.
Manage process improvement projects
Responsible for SOX compliance over accounting areas of responsibility
Provide ad hoc reports as requested by management
Monitors financial statements and explains variances.
Engage in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and controlling.
Initiate wire requests
Prepare footnote disclosures over accounting areas of responsibility.
Other miscellaneous requirements as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree
Accounting Degree required and three years of relevant experience
CPA and/or Public Accounting experience preferred
Experience with accounting systems preferred
Experience with SOX and/or Accounting for a Public Company preferred
Expert in Excel
Strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications
Experience with Access preferred
Must be well organized and attentive to detail
