CACI's SAFFIRE program needs a Mission Engineer to support NGA in building state-of-the-art Structured Observation Management (SOM) and Computer Vision (CV) capabilities that will underpin the latest SOM production UI driving mission success across the National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG) and Allied System for Geospatial Intelligence (ASG).

At the interview, we'd like to tell you about:

  • The SAFFIRE team and our mission

  • The SAFFIRE platform, the technologies we currently leverage, and our approach to software development

  • The contract, program structure, and our customers

*Specific Responsibilities:*

  • Develop a deep understanding of existing and proposed contract scope, working closely with government product owners

  • Understand the applications and services, and how they are and can be used to support a wide variety of missions

  • Coordinate with agile teams to track new scope from estimation through implementation to deployment into production

  • Support design efforts, working with user engagement, architects and product owners

  • Support SAFe processes and ceremonies throughout planning and implementation

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Currently hold an active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance preferably with a recent polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline

  • Understanding of Jira, Confluence, MS Excel, and MS Project

  • Understanding of software and systems engineering principles

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies

  • A bias toward action on behalf of user needs

  • The ability to collaborate, problem solve, and debate technical solutions with peers to determine the best approach

  • Five or more years of experience working as a systems engineer or in a related field

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with modern, enterprise cloud development

  • Familiar with intelligence systems

  • Experience in managing project of medium to high scale and complexity

  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders at both the engineering and program management level

  • Experience briefing customers on project status

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,100 - 172,400 USD
