Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Production Supervisor supervises manufacturing activities in production areas to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives while maintaining an exemplary safety record. This position manages labor resources, develops personnel, counsels employees and prioritizes production schedules. Reports to Production Manager.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees
Manages workforce by developing employees skills, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals and maintaining schedules/priorities
Responsible for the safety, quality, and manufacturing KPI's of assigned production unit
Ensures adherence to defined manufacturing guidelines, processes and procedures
Interprets specifications and makes judgments about the acceptability of production that is in process
Drives and proposes procedure improvements
Leads and supervises assigned Production Technicians, Coordinators and Assemblers
Communicates and coordinates in a professional and courteous manner with other departments and coworkers
Problem solves using creative solutions and soliciting ideas/solutions from workforce
To thrive in this role, you have:
5+ years of experience
Both advanced practical and theoretical understanding and some significant advanced vocational experience is required to oversee and manage the diverse and relatively complex tasks in the related field of work.
Needs advanced understanding of how to direct, monitor, supervise and develop qualified workforce in a working team environment
Results-Oriented - ability to take actions and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
Problem Solver - methodical and hands-on as well as detail-oriented
Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills - a team player and builder, receptive to ideas from others. Shares information and keeps team members and partners informed. Works effectively with others to identify and resolve issues.
Candidate must have professional written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills in order to communicate and interact effectively as a leader for the facility and assigned production area
Must possess strong computer skills with self-directed learning of other applications - including all office applications and prefer experience using SAP

The base salary range for this position in Louisville, KY is $89,300 - $105,000. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications. The annual incentive target is 5% of the base salary.
