GENERAL FUNCTION
The Sr Manager - Operations will be accountable for organizing, directing and managing a broad set of activities to enable Operations to successfully deliver, monitor and continuously improve services performed on behalf of EyeMed's clients. This includes client implementation, claims and payments, business configuration, membership, provider operations, compliance and business data solutions. This role will define, implement and execute processes to provide on-going oversight of the key performance metrics and trends within and across Operations, establish, maintain and monitor the aggregate budget for Operations, provide governance over escalated issues and enhancements requested by priority clients, lead annual SOC 1 control testing efforts across EyeMed and continuously identify performance improvement opportunities across Operations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and maintain an end to end operational management framework to monitor performance (KPIs, SLAs, etc.), trends and proactively detect areas of potential future risk to performance outcomes across all Operational functions.
Manage recurring executive leadership updates and governance forums to publish, share and provide insights on performance across Operations using dashboards.
Establish and maintain operating budgets for labor and purchased services across all Operations cost centers.
Establish and maintain a financial performance management framework to monitor financial performance, trends and proactively detect areas of potential financial risk across all Operational functions.
Create labor planning models to estimate staffing needs based on current business process performance and anticipated future business trends
Coordinate the forecasting, planning, approval and acquisition of contractor staff across all Operations functions
Organize and direct all purchase order requisition activities across Operations in partnership with Operations Leaders (e.g., submitting PO's, monitoring PO's, etc.).
Define and implement recurring processes to in-take, triage and drive resolution to escalated issues and client enhancement requests across all of EyeMed's functions (inclusive of Operations, Provider Relations, Finance, Compliance, Sales and Account Management)
Lead recurring executive leadership updates to publish, share and provide insights on issues impacting EyeMed and enhancements being requested by EyeMed's clients.
Act as the overall lead for EyeMed's annual SOC 1 control testing activities, partnering with EyeMed's audit vendor as well as controls owners across all of EyeMed.
Organize and manage demand for IT services across all Operations functions
Coordinate the on-going process of establishing, managing and monitoring priorities and initaitives across all Operations functions
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business and/or Information Systems or equivalent work experience
8+ years business experience
Experience managing and monitoring operational and financial performance
Experience planning and managing initiatives with process and technology workstreams
Experience analyzing data to identify performance improvement opportunities
Experience developing executive level presentations
Strong written and oral communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA
Experience with large management consulting firms
