What You'll get to Do:
As a Systems Engineer, you will be an integral part of the team delivering NAVWAR Mission.. You will become an expert on the systems we deliver and gain a working knowledge of systems from other vendors. This is a very hands-on position, and as such, your knowledge base will come more from working directly on the systems than from documentation. You will regularly engage with the customer to understand their needs and translate them into the high-level requirements for implementation.
More About the Role:
Become the subject matter expert on the CACI systems delivered in support of NAVWAR Mission.
Engage regularly with customer to identify new features for existing products and opportunities for new products
Perform engineering tradeoffs analysis and develop Course(s) of Action (COAs) for both enhancements of existing systems and development of new systems
Support engineering design reviews such as System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Design Reviews (PDR/CDR) and Program Management Reviews (PMRs).
Develop and/or gather information to generate technical documents and reports required.
Manage technical risks, identify issues, and develop mitigation plans.
Generate technical content for proposal development as required.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
US Citizenship
Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Experience with the full hardware/software product development lifecycle.
Excellent communication skills
Experience working with customers to elicit stated and un-stated requirements
Familiarity with standard DoD System Engineering Process and terms such as Interface Control Documents (ICDs), System Requirements Documents (SRD), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Customer Acceptance.
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering - Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Software, Math, Physics) from an accredited University with minimum 3 years of professional experience, ideally with DoD organization or Contractor
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Hav e:
Active TS/SCI clearance
Experience with NAVWAR Mission
Experience with iterative development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile/Scrum or Kanban.
Experience with C4ISR systems
Familiar with Model Based Systems Engineering methodologies
Exposure to networking principles and/or experience with classified networks.
Understanding of the certification and accreditation process for classified networks.
Experience with any/all of the following:
Computer network, processing, storage engineering
User Interface/User Experience core requirements
Software automation tools - Ansible, Puppet, Kubernetes
Hardware/Software build process/configuration

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$69,100 - 141,500 USD
