SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radar Production Manager to lead our Radar Restoration and Overhaul Contract in Crane, IN.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing projects related to radar system upgrades, maintenance, and sustainment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver complex radar system overhauls on time, within budget, and with high quality.
Develop and maintain project plans, project schedules, and work breakdown structures.
Manage project risks and opportunities, including the development of mitigation plans.
Oversee contract requirements and ensure compliance with all government regulations and corporate policies.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer and maintain strong client relationships.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, finance, and other departments to ensure project success.
Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to stakeholders.
Manage project budget and financials, including forecasting and cost control.
Ensure a safe and compliant working environment at all project sites.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or Project Management and 6 years of experience; Masters degree and 4 years experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree will be accepted.
A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in defense or a related industry.
Prior experience with radar systems or similar defense technologies.
Strong understanding of the DoD contracting environment and regulatory requirements. -Proven leadership and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
U.S. Citizenship required.
No clearance required to start. Must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
PMP Certification.
Advanced degree in Engineering or Business.
Experience with Agile and traditional project management methodologies.
Active security clearance at the Secret level or higher.
Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
