Test-Focused Development

.Organize Unit test structure and strategy for new and existing projects.

.Organize Integration test structure and strategy for new and existing projects.

.Organize Performance test structure and strategy for new and existing projects.

.Organize UI automation test structure and strategy for new and existing projects.

.Implement Unit, Integration, Performance, and UI automation tests.

.Design and architect the development testing strategy; code to test code.

.Integrate automated testing functionality within build and release processes.

.Generate and distribute rich test reports for unit test code coverage, post-deployment integration test results, and performance test results; spread the acquired knowledge.

.Tools will be developed if needed, to aid in integrated testing. These tools may consist of simple to complex GUI applications, console applications, scripts, and/or T-SQL scripts.

.Assist, analyze, create, execute, and mentor as necessary.

Roles and Responsibilities

.Create a suite of automated tests per project-under-test, consisting of unit, integration, performance, and UI automation - to execute manually and fully automated during build/deployment processes.

.Baseline performance characteristics of the project-under-test.

.Generate and distribute automated test result reports; spread the acquired knowledge.

.Work directly with development engineers to verify new and updated code.

.Design, implement, and document performance testing of internal and external-facing projects.

.Code review from a development-testing perspective (SDET Code Review).

.Assist in project design and provide input from a testing perspective.

.Provide technical support relating to development testing practices.

.Attend Development code reviews and provide feedback.

.Design, implement and manage new quality control processes.

.Defect Review and Management - relating to development/code-centric bugs.

.Work with all departments to integrate cross-team programmatic testing procedures.

.Create and maintain Azure DevOps Build and Release automated test processes.

.Document and evangelize Unit Testing design, structure, and process.

.Assist development teams.

Required Skills

.C# development experience - intermediate level

.Familiarity with ASP.NET Core WebApi development and testing

.T-SQL scripting

.Unit Testing experience with NUnit, MSTest, or XUnit

.Development, QA, or DevOps/CM Engineering background

.strong desire to test software

Nice to have

.UI automated testing via C# and Selenium

.JMeter Performance Testing experience - some Java and/or Groovy scripting

.APM toolset experience - Application Insights, New Relic, AppDynamics.

.Kusto query language

.Azure DevOps build and release customization

.Expert unit testing experience - including dependency injection and mocking

.Utilize unit test code coverage toolsets

.Angular/TypeScript familiarity - including unit testing
