Recruiting Profile
Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Truck Driver to join our TEAM! As a Dal-Tile Truck Driver, we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as delivering and unloading company product while maintaining a daily record truck log and keeping safety as the number one priority.
Primary Objective
Delivers customer orders and supports warehouse function in conjunction with delivery activities. The driver will pick up and haul roll off boxes to another site 50 miles away, ideally making 3 hauls a day. The driver may also be tasked with moving dry vans from a nearby Tile facility to the Quartz facility; this too will be done multiple times a day. The driver will be expected to fully support the operation by; performing basic maintenance on the truck, tarping boxes as needed, stage boxes or trailers, and using a forklift to load or unload trailers.
Major Function and Scope
Delivers and unloads product orders at designated SSC's, customers and job sites.
Processes delivery paperwork and COD payments.
Maintains driving record truck log.
Ensures routine truck maintenance is performed.
Performs necessary warehouse tasks in conjunction with deliveries such as pulling/assembling orders and loading delivery truck.
Aids warehouse staff in performing normal warehouse duties such as unloading and storing of inbound material and shipping tasks.
Operates forklift equipment.
May take and enter customer orders as needed.
Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to Management.
Performs other related duties as required, such as cleaning up spills of materials.
Experience and Knowledge Required
High school diploma or equivalent experience. CDL and Certified Forklift Driver.
1+ years of truck driving experience preferred.
Competencies
Good driving skills; customer service skills, math skills, safety conscious, be flexible as priorities change.
