Description
Responsibilities:
Design Cloud-based system architectures that include Azure Cloud technologies and services, software, hardware, and communications solutions to support the total requirements, as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
Ensure architectures are in compliance with open systems standards as they apply to the client's environment.
Evaluate compatibility of information system development efforts with agency architectures and recommends adjustments, as appropriate
Evaluates problems of Cloud connectivity, Cloud platform architecture, workflow, organization, and planning and develops appropriate corrective action
Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Strong experience in one or more architecture domains (e.g. business architecture, solutions architecture, application architecture)
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technology, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
Experience working in the public cloud.
Proven background working in cloud environments with experience and knowledge in the following areas:
Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban
Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence
CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, Artifactory)
CSPs including Azure, AWS, or OCI
Containerization and container management with Kubernetes and Helm
Security automation with tools such as Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST)
Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
Git, branching strategies, GitFlow and/or GitHub Flow
Cloud high availability and scalability best practices and architectures
Ability to meet with customers to gather and understand business requirements
Ability to quickly adapt to new situations and changing priorities
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Must be punctual, reliable, and accountable for themselves, with ability to follow through with tasks to completion
Qualifications
Desired Education & Experience:
8+ years of progressive experience engineering and architecting public cloud environments
AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or higher certification
Experience working in an agile environment preferred
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
