Performs ESH inspections. Provides inspection results. Investigates incidents collecting information from personnel, job site, research regulatory standard, and associated work documents. Generates reports from inspections or incident investigation. Provides corrective action recommendations, and tracks implementation to completion. Reviews safety documents at job sites. Conducts routine job site visits serving as a resource for safety protocol. Participates in safety meetings. Works with little supervision. Reports directly and daily to ESH Manager or immediately in event of ESH concern.
Essential Responsibilities:
1) Identifies, examines, classifies, inspects and reports on specific and general issues of ESH. Examinations may be visual and will require affirmation against regulatory standard.
2) Able to use basic processes of inspection/examination procedures for material.
3) Able to read specifications, drawings, prints, schematics and photographs.
4) Able to successfully certify in ESH training requirements. Must be current in all certifications within 30 to 60 days of selection for position.
7) Prepare reports as required.
8) Operate tools and equipment in performance of duties.
9) Able to research current standards to provide corrective action recommendations consistent with current practice.
10) Able to drive/operate a vehicle.
11) Assist in the development and deployment of safety initiatives.
12) Able to perform hazard risk analysis and provide appropriate hazard control recommendations.
13) Able to read/review SDS
14) Able to assess hazmat storage.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Minimum one-year general experience. Minimum one-year specific experience in areas of Safety, Construction industry, and O&M industries. Familiarity with OSHA 1926/1910. Possesses general HazMat knowledge. High school diploma or equivalent. Must have demonstrated ability to obtain certifications required for position.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
