The Warehouse Supervisor is a 2nd Shift position located at the Batteries Plus national distribution center in Glendale, WI, in the Milwaukee metro area. The Warehouse Supervisor will supervise the shipping of merchandise to our customers and to our 700+ retail store locations across the United States and Puerto Rico.
The ideal Warehouse Supervisor will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have at least 2+ years of supervisor experience within a warehouse or distribution center, working knowledge of WMS technology, the ability to work 2nd shift, demonstrated leadership skills, and outbound / shipping experience. Responsibilities:
Provide clear direction for 2nd shift warehouse staff / outbound shipping team
Ensure orders are effectively and efficiently processed and shipping schedules are met
Hold daily shift meetings
Manage release of work from the WMS to the floor to ensure proper distribution of workload
Determine workflow and trailer placement in docks
Delegate tasks, provide ongoing coaching and training, employee recognition, and compliance with safety policies and procedures
Schedule staffing based on needs of the business, verify and approve employee work hours
Assist management in maintaining a union-free environment
Measure daily, weekly, and monthly production and quality metrics, maintain daily reports
Requirements
2+ years of supervisory experience within a warehouse, distribution center, or similar fast-paced environment
Minimum 3+ years of warehouse experience
Minimum of HS Diploma or equivalent required
This position requires the employee to regularly stand, walk and use hands to handle or touch; frequently talk, hear and lift up to 50 pounds; and occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach above shoulders, and use foot to operate a machine to lift more than 100 pounds
Ability to work 2nd Shift, Sunday-Thursday 2pm-10pm
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or specialty certificate in logistics, warehouse, or related area strongly preferred. 2 years of college education and/or specialized training program in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or other related fields
Working knowledge of MS Office and/or Google Suite
Experienced with WMS technology
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated leadership skills
