Position summary: Responsible for performing all phases of architectural work from conceptual design through construction administration.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Present directly to the client on technical and design solutions

  • Review process of contractor submittals and shop drawings

  • Develop fee proposals, monitor schedules and budgets

  • Ensure quality control reviews throughout project completion

  • Reply to RFI's and issue clarifications, COP's Change orders as needed

  • Review and Process project invoices

  • Work closely with the Project Manager to execute project plans

  • Coordinate with Project Manager to directly supervise the teams' design and technical delivery

  • Participate in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire project

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on specialized systems

  • Liaise with Principal Architect, other Architects in multiple offices and consultants in various locations

  • Develop and represent lead technical viewpoint on projects

  • Coordinate with Director and Department Head on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies

    Nonessential functions and responsibilities:

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required SkillsRequired Experience

  • Bachelor s or Master of Architecture

  • Minimum of 8 + years of architectural design experience

  • Professio nal Architect License

  • Proficient with computer-assisted design software such as Revit, Sketch-Up , AutoCAD

  • Proficient with Microsoft Offi ce, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    Qualifications preferred

  • LEED AP accreditation preferred.

  • Experience in education, transportation and community architecture

    Working Conditions:

    Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment . Some air or long-distance travel will be necessary given the location of many of the projects.
