Description: What You Will Be Doing
This is an accompanied expat position located in Ghedi Air Base near the town of Ghedi, Italy. We are seeking an experienced F-35 Avionics Maintainer who will expatriate under SOFA privileges (to include SOFA-sponsored driver's license for Italy, access to US military bases in Italy for base exchange/commissary shopping privileges, access to US military health care facilities in Italy, etc.) to support our Italian AF (ItAF) customer. Job requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-The successful candidate will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME), nose-to-tail, Aircraft Avionics maintainer on the F-35 CTOL airframe, providing support in maintaining avionic systems, to include flight controls, sensors, mission, radar and comm nav systems, working alongside Italian Air Force maintainers.
-Applicant must be a self-starter, demonstrate the ability to make timely decisions, and willing to learn all facets of the nose-to-tail maintenance concept of the F-35 aircraft while supporting maintenance and operational requirements.
-Additionally, candidate must have working knowledge of Joint Technical Data (JTD), Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Documentation and Action Request processing. Individual will perform On-The-Job training for team members and Partner aircraft maintenance personnel, maintain and update aircraft records and status within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) of the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).
-Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.
-This position will serve as part of the larger Interim Contractor Support (ICS) infrastructure at an existing F-35 site.
-US citizenship and Secret security clearance mandatory in order to assure contracted customer support and services.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must have 2-years of hands-on F-35 maintenance experience to include working experience and knowledge of Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) to include, Anomaly Fault Resolution System, Customer Relationship Management, Joint Technical Data Navigation, Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA)/Maintenance Vehicle Interface (MVI) activities, Configuration Management and forms documentation and supply chain management activities.
- An associate's degree or FAA A&P License with 4 years related experience; or will accept high school diploma with 8 years specialized working experience as 5 or 7-skill level USAF AFSC, CDI/CDQAR Navy NEC, or CDI/CDQAR United States Marine Corps, or equivalent on Fighter Attack Aircraft.
- Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous maintenance activities and supervise other maintenance activities on aircraft. Develop work schedules and assign tasks to other maintenance team members. Working experience and knowledge of activities such as aircraft forms documentation and supply chain management activities. Provide On-The Job Training (OJT) as required to newly hired ICS team members and International country organic maintainers as required. Ensures good housekeeping and safety practices are enforced.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in F-35 Avionics
- Experience in Low Observable (LO) materials and processes, LOHAS, LO verification
- Experience in fighter aircraft crew escape systems (i.e. canopy and ejection seat)
- Experience in fighter weapons loading
- Experience in the Nose-to-Tail maintenance concept.
- Experience as an On-The-Job trainer.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to speak/read Italian
- Experience interfacing with NATO customers
- International Expat experience

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
