Job Description:
Responds to emergent and non-emergent calls; provides medical support and care for patients in the pre-hospital environment. Assesses emergency medical calls to identify patient needs and requirements and to determine best course of treatment. Provides advanced medical care and basic life support service to patients, using appropriate medical equipment, devices and treatment modalities approved by the Medical Director. Communicates with receiving facility to get medical direction and to provide patient's status and other critical information. May be requested to provide patient care in the hospital setting performing tasks delegated by the RN based on the scope of the individual's training and capabilities. Work Experience: NIMS 100, 200, 700 Over 75, need to have medical permission

State licensure/certification as a Paramedic or a Registered Nurse authorized to operate as a Paramedic with Medical Director Approval in the appropriate state of practice.CPR CertificationACLS CertificationPALS Certification (or must obtain within 6 months of hire)Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health's insurerCurrent (valid) US/State Driver's LicenseState background check must provide clearance to work with vulnerable adults
