Be a key member and contribute to the success of the Global Mobility, Tax, and Immigration (GMTI) function by supporting the on-going advisory and operations related to Starbucks global mobility policies and processes. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work as a collaborator and subject matter expert supporting our partner resources, recruiters, and business leaders on international and domestic transfers and assignments including relocation, international immigration and tax, and accounting/cross charges. As a Starbucks global mobility lead, you will...
Administer policies, processes, systems, and tools in support of Starbucks international mobility programs for permanent transfers, short and long-term assignments, international digital workers, and business travelers
Administer policies, processes, systems, and tools in support of Starbucks US and Canada relocation programs for permanent transfers, short term assignments, and extended business travelers
Work with outside vendors and consultants to ensure benefits and services are delivered correctly and coordinate day to day operations and relationships
Lead regular mobility trainings and updates to communicate policies and program and process changes with Global PRO Business Partners and Recruiters
Lead mobility trainings as a part of onboarding new partners with Global PRO Business Partners and Recruiters
Respond to all candidates and partner inquiries on US and Canada domestic relocation and international relocation, tax, and immigration related matters
Create permanent transfer and expatriate offer letters and costs estimates for each international transfer
Maintain and revise US and Canada domestic and international benefit summaries and offer letters, repayment agreements, guidelines, and cost estimate templates
Drive program effectiveness and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
Stay up-to-date on US and Canada domestic and international relocation, tax, and immigration-related matters and regulations
Manage international year-end payroll and tax process (reporting, timeline, communication, etc.) with outside tax vendor and Starbucks US and International PRO and Payroll teams
We'd love to hear from people with:
Bachelor and/or graduate degree in business or related field
3-5 years of international relocation, tax, and immigration experience with a comprehensive knowledge of program process and administration either with a relocation management company, tax or immigration vendor, or an in-house program for a corporate entity.
2-3 years of US and Canada domestic relocation experience with a comprehensive knowledge of program process and administration either with a relocation management company or an in-house program for a corporate entity.
Ability to work flexible and extended hours to accommodate international time zones
Ability to work across cultures respecting diversity
Excellent written and verbal communications - ability to interface and influence with all levels of the organization
Experience working for a large, fast-paced multinational organization
Technically proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook
Be able to thrive and make sound decisions in an ambiguous work environment
2 years familiarity with GAAP Accounting and US and Canada Payroll a plus
Relocation Certification (GMS) a plus
The pay range for this position may be narrower than that displayed, depending on where the work is performed.
