Primary Objective: Operate industrial floor scrubbers throughout the plant to maintain a clean floor
Major Functions and Scope:
Cleaning
- Operates various powered floor scrubbers to maintain a reasonably clean floor.
- Checks equipment to make sure it is operating at peak efficiency.
- Follows safety guidelines and safe operating parameters set forth by equipment manufacturer.
General
- Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
- Maintains daily sign off sheet for all equipment operated
- Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
- Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Experience, Competencies and Supervision:
Education and Knowledge: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Experience: One or more year's previous manufacturing/warehouse experience.
Competencies: Core Competencies include good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner. Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
While performing the duties of this job:
The team member is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
The team member is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The team member may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance.
The team member may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
The team member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
The team member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
The team member may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
