Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced UT Inspectors for projects located in Newport News, VA . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $36/hour based on experience and skill level plus $120/per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Perform UT inspections on structural welds in a shop environment
Utilize and interpret equipment for precise inspection and flaw detection
Navigate climbing, crawling, and confined spaces as needed
Requirements
Must be certified to perform volumetric butt corner and tee weld UT inspection in accordance with NAVSEA standards
Must provide certification documentation for the current and preceding 3-year period
Certified to Level II ASNT SNT-TC-1A (2001 Edition or later)
Passed written, general theory, procedure-specific, and practical UT examinations
Vision acuity tested with Jaeger 1 letters at 12 inches within the last year
Demonstrated recent experience in applicable methods within the past 9 months
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable with climbing ladders and working at heights
Willingness to crawl in tanks and confined spaces
