Strategic Workforce Planning at Truist is about connecting our business strategies to talent strategies, strengthening Truist's ability to achieve business aligned outcomes and imperatives. The Strategic Workforce Planning Senior Strategist is a key partner to assigned Functional / Business Unit Leadership and the associated HR Business Partner teams to develop and manage workforce plans (FTEs + contingent roles) based on business and resource needs. The individual in this role will lead regular strategic plan reviews and reporting conversations with executive workforce plan owners, partnering with HR Business Partners, business leaders, finance, and other HR COE partners to drive in-budget / on-target execution. They will analyze workforce plans to report progress against broader organizational goals, and to provide a view on future workforce composition and structure. This role will advance the perspectives and practices on human capital and workforce strategy across executive/senior leaders and board members to ensure Truist has the right workforce strategies to achieve business goals and remain competitive in a dynamic marketplace.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Thought leader role with comprehensive knowledge within the discipline, crossing multiple areas of specialization. Solve unique and highly complex organizational human capital and workforce problems with broad impact; uses conceptual and innovative thinking.
Apply expertise and organization understanding to integrate business solutions for highly complex operational problems. Significantly contribute to the development of the business' strategies and related organizational strategies.
Consult with senior management across the enterprise and HR partners to define short and long-term human capital strategies, including talent opportunity identification and risk mitigation.
Perform and curate research that provides perspective on external and internal workforce trends to inform short- and longer-term workforce strategies aligned to the business needs. Consult with leaders on tradeoffs to affirm or alter workforce strategy to achieve business goals.
Develop perspectives to inform dialogue on human capital and workforce strategy at the most senior levels of the organization and board members as appropriate, to ensure Truist has the right strategies to remain competitive in a dynamic marketplace.
Present perspectives and consult with leaders regarding evolving workforce trends and potential implications of workforce and people strategy issues on the business. Partner and consult with HR and business leaders to recommend interventions that address identified opportunities.
Develop in-depth understanding and evaluate internal demand and supply of Truist's competitive talent and capability position (strengths, weaknesses, gaps) through qualitative and quantitative analysis and interactions with leaders.
Help inform and lead the definition, evolution and strategic positioning of the Truist teammate value proposition in the market. Work collaboratively with partners to ensure teammate value proposition is effectively executed across internal and external programs and channels.
Develop departmental human capital plans, including business, financial, production and/or organizational priorities. Focus is typically on longer-term strategic planning and performance. Impacts the direction and resource allocation for programs, projects, or services.
Provide informal leadership to others and serve as a resource on highly complex solutions. Typically provide leadership to managers and/or professional-level contributors. Lead teams or highly complex projects with notable resource requirements and risk with implications and/or resource requirements beyond the function.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 12+ years of professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
10 years of demonstrated deep specialized and/or broad knowledge within the Human Resources, Finance, Financial Services, Engineering, Computer Science, Math or other related disciplines.
Demonstrated ability to lead large highly complex projects of notable risk exposure and ability to influence others at the most senior levels to adopt a new perspective.
Extensive knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in related field or MBA and 12+ years of professional experience.
Experience working in the financial services industry.
Formal project management training or certification (PMI); Professional certification in HR related disciplines.
Demonstrated proficiency developing human capital strategies to achieve operational and financial results.
