Description
SAIC is seeking a talented mid-level GUI Developer with expertise in Qt to join our dynamic software development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C++ and Python programming, as well as experience in database design. Our new teammate will be able to work equally well in a team as on their own. We want a team player that is eager to learn and ready for a challenge. This is an on-site role at Eglin AFB.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop user-friendly graphical user interfaces using Qt framework
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable C++ and Python code
Implement database designs and integrate them with GUI applications
Participate in code reviews and contribute to software architecture discussions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products
Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing applications

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Candidate must have a Secret clearance and be able to obtain a DOD Top Secret clearance
3 - 5 years of experience in GUI development using Qt framework
Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
Proficiency in database design and implementation
Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git
Experience with cross-platform development (Windows, macOS, Linux)
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of QML for modern UI development
Experience with multithreading and performance optimization
Familiarity with agile development methodologies
Understanding of software testing practices
