SR. MANAGER, PAYROLL
The Sr. Manager, Payroll is an integral part of the finance team and is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management, and timely processing of payroll.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage all aspects of payroll processing for US employees, including exempt and non-exempt
Lead team of payroll analysts to ensure payroll is processed accurately and in a timely manner
Drive process improvements by identifying areas where automation or control improvements can be introduced
Lead any new payroll related projects and system improvements/ implementations
Manage stock option/RSU payrolls
Oversee annual payroll compliance reporting for the US, including the preparation and audit of W2s
Build strong cross-functional relationships with key business partners in HR, legal, accounting, tax, finance, and stock administration
Monitor and ensure that monthly close deliverables are met
Support the annual audit and any internal audit or process review projects
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree
8+ years of payroll experience
3+ years of experience managing direct reports
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience working in finance organizations of fast-moving entrepreneurial companies
Thorough knowledge of payroll-related state, legal, tax, and compliance requirements
Experience with Ultimate Software and Workday
Familiarity with US GAAP accounting principles and experience in handling payroll, equity, and other compensation related accounting
Experience with international payroll processing
Familiarity with SOX compliance
