SR. MANAGER, PAYROLL

The Sr. Manager, Payroll is an integral part of the finance team and is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management, and timely processing of payroll.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all aspects of payroll processing for US employees, including exempt and non-exempt

  • Lead team of payroll analysts to ensure payroll is processed accurately and in a timely manner

  • Drive process improvements by identifying areas where automation or control improvements can be introduced

  • Lead any new payroll related projects and system improvements/ implementations

  • Manage stock option/RSU payrolls

  • Oversee annual payroll compliance reporting for the US, including the preparation and audit of W2s

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with key business partners in HR, legal, accounting, tax, finance, and stock administration

  • Monitor and ensure that monthly close deliverables are met

  • Support the annual audit and any internal audit or process review projects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 8+ years of payroll experience

  • 3+ years of experience managing direct reports

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working in finance organizations of fast-moving entrepreneurial companies

  • Thorough knowledge of payroll-related state, legal, tax, and compliance requirements

  • Experience with Ultimate Software and Workday

  • Familiarity with US GAAP accounting principles and experience in handling payroll, equity, and other compensation related accounting

  • Experience with international payroll processing

  • Familiarity with SOX compliance
