About Smart Infrastructure - Electrification and Automation:

The Utility Systems & Solutions segment of Electrification and Automation (EA) offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for the Utility and Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) markets. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. The product portfolio includes but is not limited to medium voltage switchgear (AIS & GIS), Outdoor Circuit Breakers, MV Control, Power Equipment Centers, Overhead distribution products, low voltage motor control centers, photovoltaic (PV) Inverters, and ancillary MV and LV products that are routinely part of complete electrical packaged solutions in substations, power plants, and renewable energy power generation. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of today's and tomorrow's power grid!

We are looking for a Program Manager. This position is Hybrid and will be based in Wendell, NC, Texas, or Kansas.

Overview:

The Utility Systems & Solutions business is looking for a Program Manager (PgM) to join our Partner Programs and Project management team. As a PgM, you will be responsible for laying out the structure for successful execution of multiple projects on long term programs for our strategic utility customers. Responsibilities will include overseeing projects managed by other project managers while also managing the successful execution of few projects on the program, from project initiation through final closeout. You will work in a matrix style organization requiring excellent coordination skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver customer success that helps generate more business. Headquartered in Wendell, NC, the Utility Systems & Solutions segment executes a diverse portfolio of projects, and this position will be focused on medium voltage switchgear (AIS & GIS) including medium-voltage power distribution equipment packaging and services. The PM role comes with ample opportunities for growth, reflective of Siemens mission to empower people with a growth mindset. As a customer facing team, we keep customer satisfaction at the forefront as we manage large projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct all phases of projects on a program from inception through completion.

  • Responsible for the cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of the assigned project(s).

  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

  • Provide regular updates to team, PMO and executive management within Siemens and customers' organization on work performed, plans, budget, and overall status- along with strategy to grow the program.

  • Identify project problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

  • Manage customer expectations across the program and various functions on project cycle and lead single and multi-product medium voltage solutions projects.

  • Direct diagnostics with the ability to determine root cause and corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with other PMO teams at the EA, Siemens Industry, and within other segments to ensure consistency and alignment, along with the sharing of best practices to continuously improve program efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college .

  • 10+ years of relevant experience managing similar portfolios

  • PMP certification

  • 5+ years leadership and a proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams, including program management, services, engineering, operations, and logistics

  • 20% Travel required (national and international)

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commitment to develop, drive, and manage projects in a highly competitive market

  • Experience in identifying and implementing cost savings measures within project

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to present complex issues to multi-level audiences and effectively communicate progress, status and issues to internal and external Customers

  • Ability to interpret and report results to senior management as well as customer

  • Familiarity with Siemens power distribution product portfolio and utility customers

  • Demonstrated success in improving efficiency of project execution in some capacity

  • The pay range for this position is $88,300 - $151,400 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
