Title: SUPPLY CHAIN SYSTEMS TECH Location: United States-Virginia-Virginia Beach Job Number: 220004HD Job Summary: Provides support to merchandising systems end-users including troubleshooting, system application testing and training. Acts as liaison between merchandising and information technology (IT). Duties and Responsibilities: - Responsible for the supervision and work flow of data entry processes within the merchandise information systems group. Responsible for the maintenance of system variables within the merchandising system. - Supervision of Merchandise Business Technicians. - Responsible for the maintenance of system variables as it relates to management of the Merchandise, Organizational Hierarchy and Supplier management within the Merchandising system. - Provides technical guidance, assistance and training on new methods and procedures to business users. - Maintains, develops, documents and implements MR work group procedures related to all areas of responsibility. - Plans, prioritizes and schedules the flow of work within the work group. - Ensures the data entry process is accomplished in a timely and accurate manner. - Monitor and resolve requests from end users within an established timeframe as it relates to the merchandising systems. Partner with IT when necessary to identify and determine a resolution. - Ability to effectively use Microsoft Excel to design reports and troubleshoot system issues. - Responsible for the distribution of all merchandising related reports and prints. - Reports directly to a Supply Chain Systems Support Analyst. - Develops and maintains an internet and intranet site for Code MR. - Performs other related duties as assigned. The incumbent of this position must file a Financial Disclosure Report (OGE) Form 450, as required. Qualifications: Total of 4 years of experience consisting of the following: GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Three years general experience which was gained in administrative, merchandise, technical or other responsible work which enabled the applicant to gain a knowledge of merchandising, procurement practices or EDI transaction capabilities; PC literate; skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships; and the ability to exercise mature judgment. OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: One year of education above the high school level may be substituted for nine months of experience, up to a maximum of a four year bachelor's degree for three years of general experience. AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year experience which provided background in procurement practices; databases and worksheets, etc. Or similar work that demonstrated the knowledge and ability within the procurement or EDI operational/technical area.
