JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Join a well-established Family Medicine residency program aimed at creating the next generation of Family Medicine physicians to support the most rural of communities. The Duluth Family Medicine Residency Program provides outpatient, inpatient, obstetric and long-term care to patients in the Duluth, MN community. Train the program's family medicine residents through modeling professionalism, leadership, and excellence in patient care.
POSITION SPECIFICS
Teach and train resident physicians and medical students while providing high quality, evidence-based care for patients
Foster a life-long learning attitude that supports resident well-being
Develop and deliver an engaging learning environment
Demonstrate a strong interest in educating residents in each of the ACGME competency areas
Provide didactic lectures
Serve as a resident advisor
Participate in scholarly and research activities
Actively participate in faculty development activities and other academic administration committees
Evaluate residents using ACGME Family Medicine Milestones evaluations and direct observation
Maintain clinical family medicine practice
Interest in providing obstetrical care
Participate in the residency recruitment process
Supervise residents on inpatient adult medicine, pediatric, and OB services; including night and weekend call
Other duties as assigned by the Program Director to promote success of the residency program

REQUIREMENTS
ABFM certified and licensed or eligible for licensure in Minnesota
At least three years clinical experience in Family Medicine
Demonstrated interest in educating residents, medical and/or health science students
OB care and supervision
LOCATION
Duluth, MN - a harbor city which is located at the westernmost tip of beautiful Lake Superior
150 miles north of the north of Minneapolis/St. Paul
