Job Description:
The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for managing employee relations matters across Essentia Health and executing the organization's employee relations strategy. Leads, manages, and coaches a team of specialists through employee relations issues. Tracks issues, identifies trends and recommends and implements improvements to the employee relations strategy and policies. Consults, coaches, educates, and assists leaders on employee relations policies, procedures, and best practices.
Education Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities
Oversees case intake and day-to-day operations of the Employee Relations staff. Manages recruitment, development, and performance management
Development and ownership of department procedures and processes to ensure delivery of best service to the organization
Provides coaching and consultation to leaders regarding more complex or leader level issues, including corrective action processes for Physicians and Director level positions and above
Drives the employee relations strategy and identifies Employee Relations issues and trends
Monitors issues and trends and provides recommendations for policy updates
Reviews and approves termination recommendations and may assist in high profile cases such as drug diversion, harassment, workplace violence, discrimination, etc.
Provides and creates resources and education on policies and employment related topics for leaders and the HR Service Center
Responsible for new hire and current leader education, training on policies and best practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resource management or related field
Five years' experience in human resources, employee relations or related
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in business administration, human resource management or related field
Experience working in a unionized environment
Direct supervisor or manager level experience
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
