QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5+ years of systems analysis experience (at least 2 years in the testing field)
2+ years of data warehousing experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/Analytics or equivalent education/work experience.
Experience with all types of testing including systems, data quality, and acceptance.
Experience in creating test plans, cases, and scripts with or without the use of testing case tools.
Very Strong SQL experience for creating and executing test scripts.
Experience in business analysis techniques.
Demonstrated problem analysis and problem solving skills in a technical environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience working in both Agile and traditional SDLC
Preferred:
Experience with Automated Testing tools, specifically MotioCI for automated Cognos Application Testing
Use of data profiling methods to analyze data sources
Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server
Experience with ETL Tools such as Informatica and SnapLogic
Experience with business intelligence & data visualization tools such as Cognos, QlikView/QlikSense and Tableau.
Experience with Python, PowerShell, SAS a plus.
This position is a quality assurance tester for various Business Intelligence and Data Visualization applications and is responsible for testing and assuring the quality of analytical and reporting solutions to support the operational and strategic imperatives of the organization.
W orks on data driven projects and participate in testing data at the source, through the data transformation processes, testing the data loading process and testing the output in the form of BI/Data Visualizations ranging from reports to dashboards to interactive analytical applications.
Participates in creating metric driven measures and strategies around data and BI/Data Visualization tool quality.
Assists in driving defect detection, prioritization and resolution for data and BI solutions.
Participates in the full project life cycle from analysis to production implementation.
Performs data analysis, system testing, and compiling and providing auditable documentation of results.
Maintains a strong understanding of application development lifecycles and has a good understanding of data warehouse concepts and techniques.
Creates comprehensive documentation in the form of test plans, test strategies and test results.
