We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary
Assists in scientific studies and projects related to air or water quality, biology, solid waste, or similar environmental programs. Assists environmental consulting teams on environmental projects, working on permitting, studies, inspections and/or other activities related to air quality, NPDES, wetland and stream encroachments, surface and groundwater programs, solid wastes, etc. Assists with report preparation and analysis, data management, and other support tasks. Assists in problem analysis and developing compliance strategies. Assists in conducting training. Assists in writing and editing reports related to environmental programs. Trains in environmental permitting.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experiences (Minimum Requirements)
0-2+ years related experience
Strong written and oral communication skills
Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Basic logic and reasoning skills, to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternatives, conclusions, or approaches
Ability to work under established policies and procedures
Ability to meet set schedules and system or program requirements
Ability to assist in preparing compliance and regulatory documents and reports
Ability to assist with analysis and record keeping
Ability to act with respectful assertiveness, to ensure environmental compliance requirements are met by others, while considering the spirit and letter of the law
Ability to give full attention to others, to take time understanding the points being made, and to ask questions
Ability to embrace collaborative problem solving
Ability to adapt actions
Ability to deliver professional, high-quality, reliable environmental services to customers
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experiences (Preferred Requirements)
Working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
Working knowledge of environmental operating permits and regulations
Experience conducting environmental field studies
Experience using GIS and/or conducting spatial analysis
Knowledge of the fundamental principles of environmental justice
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education.
