Job Description

The Regional Sr. Director, Network Engineering and Operations will be responsible for leading all aspects of network engineering and operations across the West region with responsibility over the area comprising nearly 20,000 sites. This leader must be able to think and act strategically to build a comprehensive vision for the markets. The role requires a leader with a proficiency in customer focus, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building & influencing, talent management, results focus and inspirational leadership. This position will serve a critical role in partnering with area sales teams to drive growth across the markets.

The Regional Sr. Director will lead a team of approximately 40 FTEs to provide direction and support to the Field and Switch operations across the region. They will collaborate with the SVP and other Regional Sr Directors (RF, Development, Business Development) to provide strategic direction for the region. They will maintain strategic business relationships with internal and external peers and partners to ensure regional alignment with strategic initiatives, including Regional and National Technology counterparts, Infrastructure suppliers and vendors, etc.

What you'll do in your role.

  • Lead a high performing team including the following direct reports: 1 Director and 1 Sr. Manager for the West Region.

  • Management of annual market capital and operating budgets and assures fiscal responsibility and accountability.

  • Oversee the design, evolution, and optimization of the wireless network.

  • Ensure compliance with all FCC, FAA, and local State and National regulations, including CPUC and PSPS.

  • Identify opportunities to position T-Mobile as the carrier of choice through network evolution.

  • Develop local tools and establish requirements for HQ partners for the development of tools to drive education of our sales teams on network enhancements.

  • Evaluate the overall areas' network to identify improvement opportunities to improve the customer experience.

  • Keen focus on network performance and reliability leading to the highest quality customer experience.

  • Build, identify, develop, and empower a high caliber, collaborative engineering and operations organization that promotes excellence and rewards results.

  • Bachelor's degree required (in related field or must be actively pursuing a degree within a related field); Masters preferred.

T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law.
