Market Manager, Engineering
What you'll do in your role.
Requires competency in customer focus, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building & influencing, talent management, results focus and inspirational leadership.
-Leads a high performance team, including the following direct reports: RF Engineering Manager, Development Manager, Operations Manager, and related departments. Oversees the design and optimization of the Personal Communications Services (PCS) network and microwave systems, and ensures network reliability.
-Leverages goal-setting, ongoing assessment, coaching, and performance evaluation to support performance and behavior objectives for direct and indirect reports in the function. Recognizes development needs and identifies/creates development opportunities within the workgroup. Contributes to succession, diversity, and talent pool planning. Assures field engineering staffing and training. Creates an environment for ongoing peer development.
-Provides routine status reports, project reports, and any other periodic review materials, as required. Prepares accurate cost analysis of all development projects, and forecasts accurate project completion dates. Manages site selection, site acquisition, local regulatory processes, and civil construction. Responsible for vendor management and ensures efficiency and profitability for the company.
-Prepares annual market budgets and assures fiscal accountability.
-Executes strategy and technical roll-outs of special projects and national initiatives that relate to the corporate strategies and that typically extend over multiple quarters.
-Collaborates with the Network Operations Center (NOC), Corporate Customer Service team, and the local sales team to promptly identify and use resources to resolve any service problems.

-5 years' experience leading a department and managing groups of 10 or more
-5-7 year's telecommunications industry experience
-Business or technical field
At least 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in the United States
High School Diploma or GED
