Job description:
We are seeking a qualified information systems security officer to support the munitions program office.
Tasks include:
- Support the system/application authorization and accreditation (A&A) effort, to include assessing and guiding the quality and completeness of A&A activities, tasks, and resulting artifacts mandated by governing DoD and Air Force policies (i.e., RMF).
- Provide support for the configuration and artifact creation for IS and or Platform Information Technology (PIT) systems in accordance with applicable guidance for RMF accreditation.
- Recommend or help create policies and procedures to ensure the reliability of and accessibility to information systems and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
- Assist the ISSM with conducting risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs.
- Conduct systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews.
- Work with the ISSM to create individual systems security contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures.
- Create and implement programs to ensure that individual IS or PIT systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to systems security policies and procedures created by the ISSM.
- Participate in network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security policies to include artifact creation for RMF activity.
- Facilitate in the gathering, analysis, and preservation of evidence used in the prosecution of computer crimes and or investigations related to failure to follow security policy.
- Ensure the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all IT services.
Required Education and Experience:
5 years' experience or 3 with an applicable BS degree (preferred)
DoD secret level security clearance
DoD 8570 compliant IAT Level I or II certification, and includes certifications such as:
CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Cloud+, Security Leadership Certification (GSLC) is required.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen.
Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.
Work Environment:
Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting).
Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates.
Needs to be able to work well with co-workers and all levels of management.
No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions. Office is located on site in Government spaces at: Hill AFB , UT.

Attendance:
Regular hours will be between Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines.
Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.
Other Essential Functions:
Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers.
Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written.
Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others.
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner.
Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required.
Travel to and from customer's locations and the test fields may be required to support projects.
This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary.
When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.
