Job Summary:

The Role: We are seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to join our festivals team. This position will oversee management of financial statements for multiple events and festivals, analyze & prepare key financial schedules/deliverables and assist in other accounting functions as needed.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create invoices and record corresponding revenues

  • Manage show budgets (work with Ops to update as needed)

  • Manage all money requests (e.g., wires, cash, show checks) for production and/or show settlement

  • Month end close; prepare event P&L (or flash) and event related journal entries

  • Cash flow projections

  • File and pay monthly, quarterly & annual sales tax as required

  • Review various settlements immediately following the show (work with Ops to address questions) and record necessary journal entries

  • Work with AP/AR Specialists to ensure that all receivables, receipts, and payable items are processed and recorded accurately and timely

  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets & monthly forecasts

  • Maintain accounting files; provide audit support as needed, ensure that files are in compliance with all company policies and procedures

  • Perform other accounting functions as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  • 5+ years industry accounting experience (no audit or tax)

  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel

  • Oracle & Quickbooks experience preferred

  • Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to take direction and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment

  • Self-motivated

  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills

  • A positive attitude

  • Flexibility in work hours and availability, especially during major projects

  • Ability to travel to various festivals and events.
