POSITION SUMMARY
The Systems Project Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating material requirements for Systems standard projects, custom projects and shop orders while also improving the material flow to avoid any delays or expedite expenses. Act as the primary liaison between Systems and Purchasing/Supply Chain and suppliers to facilitate realization of Systems material requirements, including evaluating vendor performance, driving cost optimization, and providing recommendations on sourcing decisions. This individual will collaborate with the Systems Engineering, Systems Production, Warehouse, and Purchasing and Logistics teams to execute projects and initiatives to drive operational excellence and facilitate On-time delivery compliance of systems quotations and projects. Act as central point of contact for Systems material related issues and take lead on coordinating resolution on behalf of System Engineering and System Production teams.

Essential Functions Statement(s). Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production, and distribution capabilities as well as their reputation and history.. Prepare or assist in preparation of specifications, solicitations, and requests for qualifications/proposals; research products and equipment; prepare product/equipment specifications and scopes of work.. As assigned or directed, obtain, and review competitive bids, quotes, and proposals from vendors and contractors; discuss evaluations and review with requesters, subject matter experts, and others as required. Coordinate with System Project Owners and liaison with Purchasing/Supply Chain department of investigate material shortages, identify alternatives assist with expediting deliveries to facilitate System On-Time Deliveries (OTD's).. Select and recommend suppliers based on comparative pricing, ability to meet lead time requirements, history, experience, internal direction, sole source, time factor, and vendor ability to meet the quality objectives.. Coordinates with Project Managers/System Engineers to ensure project pricing is in line with I.M.P.A.C.T. material estimated costs or inform Project Mangers/System Engineers if estimate budget for items cannot be met. Plans and sources materials in conjunction with cross-functional teams and customer demand to ensure efficient operations and On-Time Delivery. Verifies current drawing revisions are sent to suppliers and forwards any drawings or specifications as required. Take lead on questions from suppliers to Systems Engineering or Production for resolution.. Performs supplier evaluations and to continually improve our supplier network strength while reducing costs.. Interfaces with Quality Assurance department to assure suppliers meeting all quality. Participant in on boarding and evaluation of new suppliers and auditing of existing suppliers. Check material availability and confirm material delivery due dates in coordination with Project Coordinator and Production Control Coordinator in effort to assure production material required date. Manage compliance to Shop Order release date and provide support and follow-up with Project Managers/System Engineers for escalation of required actions to facilitate material OTD. Works closely with engineering and manufacturing to develop optimal sourcing solutions. Follows processes and procedures regarding above responsibilities, and aids in the development of internal process improvements.. If required be trained and authorized to purchase required materials with approval of Vice President of Systems, Engineering Manager per established procurement process agreed to with Vice President of Purchasing and Supply ChainPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Required Experience:
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Business
Experience: 1-3 years' material planning experience: Preferred
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, prior experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems: Preferred.
Certifications & Licenses:
American Production and Inventory Control (APIC) certification a plus
Other Requirements: Shall be fluent in reading, writing, and orally communicating the English language.
