We are looking for an Ecommerce Merchandiser to join our Volcom team in Costa Mesa, CA!
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Ecommerce Merchandiser is responsible for creating a unique and engaging front end experience on volcom.com. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, thorough execution, and optimization of merchandising strategies on the site. A self-starter with a proven track record of consistent follow through and hustle to help drive ecommerce businesses forward. Will manage the day-to-day needs of the ecommerce merchandising organization. This role will ensure merchandising, marketing, operations, and others are supported in order to help meet the needs of our sales goals.
Responsible for end to end site merchandising to create a visually compelling experience and to meet sales goals.
Subject matter expert on product assortment, tracking sell through, and suggesting opportunities in assortment.
Interpret and react to site KPI's to achieve sales goals; reference analytics tools (Google Analytics/Full Circle) to explore, understand and report on business trends, risks, and opportunities to drive merchandising strategy.
Daily and Weekly monitoring of front end and general site merchandising maintenance
Boosting/Burying in Searchspring visual merchandising tool and optimizing site merchandising to drive sales and according to key go-to-market launches, emails, and homepage flips.
Optimizes back end processes/functionality to support more efficient site merchandising on Shopify Plus.
Monitor site daily for bugs, merchandising improvements needed, and ensuring content and pricing are accurate.
Collaborate with leadership to recommend strategies and execute them to drive revenue.
Owner of detailed creative briefs for landing pages, site banners, in-grids, fit guides, etc. This includes product recommendations for on time production of emails, Great follow through and communication with designers and cross-functional teams.
Communicate effectively and influence at all levels, work well with others, use productive work methods, with consistent follow through and status updates.
Partner with Sr. Merchandiser and Coordinator to ensure images, copy, attributes, and facets are ready for launch.
Share guidance with marketing team on asset needs for the site seasonally.
Gather site information to help support merchandising SMU products/collabs/licensed product collections as needed.
Organize and pull data for prep in weekly and monthly reporting via Full Circle, Google Analytics, or other reporting platforms
Understanding of all merchandising and searchandising tools such as Search Spring, Shopify, and other Business Tools, including importing and exporting data to supplement merchandising.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) and/or equivalent work experience required
3-5 years in eCommerce site merchandising experience
Shopify Plus experience is a plus
Asana project management experience a plus
High attention to detail and driven to get tasks accomplished on time (or manage upwards)
Pro-active and self-sufficient (i.e. forward thinking, ability to anticipate, knows their resources)
Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and other Microsoft and G Suite tools
Ability to communicate ideas, issues, opportunities, etc.
Able to manage multiple tasks in tight deadlines
