Sodexo is looking for a General Manager 5 for Adrian College located in Adrian, Mi. Adrian College is a long time Sodexo client with a heavy emphasis on leaders focused on customer satisfaction, innovation, driving results, and a high standard for food quality and variety. This unit has Board, Retail, Catering (on and off site) and on site Sports Bar the Wow Caf located over the ice in the hockey arena. Student body is athlete heavy with an emphasis on nutrition to drive performance. With 7 million dollars in managed volume the role will require strong financial skills and management. The overall account has both union and non-union workers with majority being union represented.
This General Manager role will work in partnership with the current Area General manager in overseeing the entire account's food service operations in a resource capacity. The right fit GM candidate will need a passion for food and innovation with strong employee relation skills as well as experience in client relations, along with the ability to work with students, staff, faculty, and community in a customer/client centered environment will be a key focus. Previous GM experience is strongly preferred in the candidate we are looking for, as well as the ability to juggle multiple priorities and time management skills a must. Professionalism is a high priority for the client at this unit, but has a rapid growth opportunity at this account!
We are looking for candidates who will:
have oversight of day-to-day operations;
deliver high quality food service;
achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
develop strategic plans;
create a positive environment; and
ensure Sodexo Standards are met.
The ideal candidate:
has at least 4 years of GM experience and working closely with client satisfaction
has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
has culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.
Experience with a liquor license also preferred.
