Position Overview
Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) Digital Industries (DI) is a dynamic and rapidly growing organization, and we are seeking a highly motivated individual to complement our growing team.
As an Implementation Consultant you will play a key role helping U.S. Air Force programs transition legacy engineering tools and processes in order to leverage current industry best practices and state-of-the-art technologies. This is accomplished by envisioning, designing, and building capabilities and processes that facilitate the adoption of Siemens' Xcelerator. As part of the Services Delivery team, you will work with Solution Architects, Product Architects, Infrastructure Architects, Project Managers, the customer's subject matter experts (SMEs) and end users to ensure project and customer success.
Responsibilities
Working with the project team members, lead or assist with tasks to:
- Develop or update Teamcenter data models, workflows, forms, UI refinements (based on user role) and relationships to other data to manage program office contract deliverables, maintenance requirements and asset configuration information.
- Manage the creation and loading processes of new data, drawing numbers, and Engineering Orders (EOs) mapped to workflow processes in Teamcenter.
- Author/Update/Consult on Operating Instructions (OIs) to manage, sustain, and modify the configuration management approach for the customer's technical data packages.
- Maintain developed interfaces between Teamcenter and the government engineering data management systems, to ensure configuration control and synchronization of the customer's technical data packages.
- Author/Update/Consult on data exchange specifications, operating instructions and procedures concerning the data import, data synchronization and data validation to ensure the accuracy and completeness of asset configuration data.
- Author/Update/Consult on procedures, part reports, and simplified drawings using NX and Teamcenter as related to structural, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Author/Update/Consult on procedures for program personnel to use, support and modify the CAD data.
- Assist with development of best practices and mentor users on best practices.
- Assist with development of solution documentation such as functional requirements and specifications.
- Assist with implementation of new functional capabilities.
- Participate in the solution validation, including preparing and executing test plans and test cases, preparing test data, and confirming traceability back to requirements.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Software, etc.), Computer Science or other science and technology program, or equivalent years of relevant experience (5+ years) in design, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, data management
- Five years of end user or implementation experience with Siemens Teamcenter/Xcelerator
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as on a team.
- Solid understanding of processes and data for managing Bill-of-Materials (BOM)
- Solid understanding of Enterprise Change Management (ECM)
- Solid understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- DoD 8570 IAT II certification, such as CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
Security Clearance
- United States citizen with no dual citizenship, ties to another country, foreign passports, or visas
Travel:
- Onsite monthly for one week
