SAIC is seeking a Senior Acquisition Specialist in support of our Navy customer at the Washington Navy Yard . . This position will support the NAVSEA Technology Office (SEA 05T) in the new Additive Manufacturing (AM) Special Project Office (SPO). The Senior Acquisition Specialist will support NAVSEA 05T in an action officer type billet.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Additive Manufacturing Special Project Office (SPO) Senior Acquisition Specialist shall:
Support advanced and additive manufacturing plans, projects and analyses to assess and recommend solutions for current and future fleet integration and use of advanced & additive manufacturing technology, materials and components. Advanced manufacturing technologies may include manufacturing and repair processes utilizing computing (i.e. CAD, CAE, and CAM), robotics, automation and control technologies.
Support may include, but not be limited to materials and material database development; material characterization and process development; specification and standards development; shipboard integration and testing of advanced and additive manufacturing equipment; technical data package for AM components development and management; file sharing and networking of equipment; interfacing with various ship class program offices and fleet outreach for development of integration requirements.
The qualified candidate will support NAVSEA 05T by providing or possessing the following:
Develop plan for SPO setup and goals. Provide direction for development of strategic documents and roadmaps.
Lead development of pre-milestone decision acquisition documentation in support of establishment of AM Program of record and an AM Acquisition Program Office.
Managing teams with responsibilities over the cost, schedule, and performance of complex, multi-million dollar programs.
Work collaboratively with the 05T BFM in tracking financial execution, task fulfillment, and overall SPO financial performance.
Align AM deliverables across Navy organizations (SYSCOMs, Fleet).
Communicate AM efforts to OSD; communicate OSD/joint efforts back to Navy stakeholders.
Participate in Joint AM working groups across DOD, as appropriate, in order to provide technical input to joint efforts.
Align/recommend line of efforts direction, deliverables, and collaboration opportunities.
10% CONUS travel
Candidate will be remote in the Metro DC area and will be required to travel to the Navy Yard or Pentagon about twice a week for meetings
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum of 15 years of experience
Senior Program Analyst/ Acquisition Expert
Experience with DoD Acquisition Programs
.Business process improvement skills
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
Must have an active secret clearance to start.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
