TheDirector of Exit Strategy Supportwill be responsible for developing, implementing and managing programming designed to facilitate franchisees with their exit strategy, development and sale of their Batteries Plus location(s). This position works closely with our franchise owners as well as the franchise development department. TheDirector of Exit Strategy Supportrole has the opportunity to be a remote role where you have the ability to work remotely in addition to traveling periodically to visit with franchise owners.
As theDirector of Exit Strategy Support, you will have a minimum of six years of franchise management, sales and transfers, preferably in the retail industry. Responsibilities:
Develop a robust resale program based on the existing procedures within the organization
Manage all active resales and manage all processes and procedures related to getting stores listed and sold effectively
Continually provide educational opportunities to franchise owners on how to sell their business
Develop and manage all necessary marketing materials and programs aimed at getting stores sold
Develop and maintain appropriate vendor relationships necessary for business valuation and marketing
Receive and conduct all interested parties through the resale program and franchise approval process
Work closely with other departments within the development division to reduce store closures
Act as primary contact to franchisees for resale and transfer related communications
Provide support functions to the franchise development team
Coordinate completion and maintenance of resale content within the Operations Manual
Qualifications:
Minimum 6-8 years of franchise management, sales and transfers. Previous experience must include direct interaction with small business owners or as a small business owner
Preferred Qualifications:
Retail Industry franchise management, sales and transfer experience
Bachelor Degree in Business or Communications
Working knowledge of retail, franchise and general business operations including accounting, purchasing, sales, marketing and inventory management
Demonstrated negotiation and conflict management skills
Process oriented with strong project management skills; capable of managing multiple tasks
Ability to travel up to 25%
