Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Director - Multi Family Sales to join our TEAM! As the Director - Multi Family Sales , we need someone who is ready for the responsibility of researching and developing new opportunities across the U.S. in the multifamily segment, collaborating with, and supporting sales leaders to generate national agreements & specifications with all top multifamily developers.
Primary Objective
Develops new sales opportunities for Dal-Tile within the Multi Family segment to include new construction, refurbish, & build for rent scopes. Works closely with VP Residential Sales, National Account Managers and Regional Sales Leaders to execute effective sales strategy to grow this segment.
Major Function and Scope
Researches and develops new Multi Family opportunities nationwide
Grow customer relationships with top developers and flooring contractors including new opportunities and existing
Works with Residential VP to create strategies to target new National Developer sales opportunities
Research, identify and respond to product and market trends to help our product team meet the needs of the Multi Family industry
Builds and maintains strong working relationships with Mohawk counterparts focusing on the Multi Family segment
Support and maintain existing National Accounts clients
Participates in Multi Family related trade shows, conferences, and events to elevate the Dal-Tile brand in the industry
Performs other related duties as required
Significant but manageable travel required, the position is nationwide so travel will be 40% or more and will vary based on client and project needs
Experience and Knowledge Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Strong familiarity of Dal-Tile product lines, knowledge of corporate product flow, manufacturing, sales, and pricing structures.
Minimum of 5 years in Builder Sales in the flooring industry. Multiple market experience a plus. Experience working with Marketing Managers, Planners and Customer Service Personnel.
Competencies
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prepare and present concise reports in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong negotiation skills, good time management skills and the ability to think critically are important. A high level of emotional intelligence is required, the ability to work well within a team environment, influencing and leading field sales team that are not direct reports.
